This electric log works for us. the light pulses with a kind of slowly. It's a bit too bright but we put some real wood around it and it is much better. interference is not realistic, but you don't have to turn them on. all in all, it looks nice in the fireplace behind the screens. It doesn't call attention to itself and people don't think about anything, assuming that there is a low heat fireplace hearth, unless they look really closely.
